Profiles.
All Machells floors come in a choice of three profiles as illustrated above, Period for a slight undulation running through the surface of the floor, Period Flat with the lateral edges gently chamfered for a slightly pillowed effect and the more traditional Flat with a small microbevel along the lateral edges to define the individual boards.
Surface texture.
Our standard unbrushed floors are sanded to a smooth finish prior to any staining processes or topcoats being applied, our brushed floors are passed through our brushing machine which removes the soft summer wood from the board exposing and highlighting the grain for a more rustic appearance.
