About Us

Machells have been involved with the supply of timber here in Yorkshire for over 50 years. Our modern joinery evolved about 20 years ago with the aim of manufacturing high quality oak flooring and oak doors in line with the Yorkshire ethos of “top quality at a fair price” Machells still work with this as our guiding principle along with a strong belief that our customers should get exactly what they want even if it means that we have to strive that bit harder to achieve it.

Machells is a family run business, specialising in the supply of reclaimed timber, new timber and specialising in the supply of old oak doors and old oak flooring. From our workshops, factory, and showroom here in Leeds, West Yorkshire, Machells create products for both traditional and modern properties, allowing our customers to add their own unique touch to their homes at a budget to suit their pocket.

All of our products are bespoke, made to order, including our oak flooring, therefore please advise us of your personal requirements, i.e. should you prefer to carry out the finishing of our products yourself, this can often be reflected in our price.

Constantly striving to create original products, the quality of Machells unique finished products are often imitated but never matched! We can supply old oak doors and oak flooring using reclaimed wood or we can create an old oak flooring appearance using new timber – the choice is yours!

Environment

Machells only purchase raw stock from accredited timber suppliers.

Machells use all of our waste; the larger sections of timber are used to heat our factory using our new Talbot's heating system and our sawdust is pressed into briquettes and can be purchased as solid fuel.
